Why Consider LCCA or ADAB? Look Here

A picture, they say, is worth a thousand words, so we won't waste too many words with today's post on the Think Concrete blog, other than to urge decision-makers to think about the accompanying picture, which is a result of the flooding from Hurricane Irene, and consider this image the next time you have a debate or discussion over the need for life-cycle cost analysis (LCCA) or alternative design/alternate bidding (ADAB). This particular scene is the top layer of River Road due to AuSable River Flooding in Lake Placid, NY.

    I'm hearing it was designed to "peel up" like that! I bet they will go a little heavier on the "tack coat" during the next overlay. Great photo!
